Write for TravelPDQ

Have a great travel story to tell?

TravelPDQ welcomes contributions from travelers, travel writers, historians, guides, tourism professionals, and others with firsthand knowledge of interesting places around the world.

We are especially interested in stories that go beyond the usual tourist checklist — hidden attractions, overlooked history, unusual landmarks, fascinating local stories, distinctive travel experiences, and practical advice that helps people travel better.

Rather than broad articles such as “10 Things to Do in Paris,” we prefer focused stories built around one compelling place, experience, question, or discovery.

If you know about something travelers are likely to walk past, overlook, misunderstand, or simply never hear about, we want to hear your story.

Why Write For TravelPDQ?

TravelPDQ gives knowledgeable travelers and writers a place to share interesting, useful stories with people who genuinely enjoy discovering the world.

Published contributors receive a named byline, a short author biography, and up to two appropriate links to their website, publication, or professional profile. Accepted articles are also professionally edited and optimized for search, including titles, headings, descriptions, and internal linking when appropriate.

Our goal is not simply to publish more travel content. We want to help worthwhile stories get discovered — especially the unusual places, overlooked history, and practical travel insights that larger publications often miss.

What We're Looking For

The best TravelPDQ articles are focused, useful and interesting.

We prefer stories that take readers deeper into one place, experience, question or travel problem.

We're particularly interested in:

  • Hidden and overlooked attractions
  • Unusual historical sites and stories
  • Little-known museums, monuments and landmarks
  • Interesting people connected to a destination
  • Archaeological discoveries and ancient sites
  • Unusual transportation experiences
  • Smart airfare and airline advice
  • Packing and travel-planning strategies
  • Firsthand travel experiences that teach readers something useful
  • Places that deserve more attention than they receive
